Refund policy

14-day return policy
You have 14 calendar days from the day you receive your order to request a return. Please contact us first at contact@totoro-shop.com with your order number, before sending anything back. Items sent back without a return request will not be accepted.

To be eligible, the item must be unused, in its original packaging and in the same condition as when you received it.

Please label the box clearly with 'Product Return - Warranty Service - Made in Japan' and include your order number, so that your return is processed smoothly.

Return shipping costs
For a change of mind, the cost of sending the item back to Japan is paid by the customer, and the original shipping fee is not refunded.

Damaged, faulty or wrong items
Please inspect your order when it arrives. If an item is damaged, faulty or not what you ordered, email us within 14 days of delivery with your order number and a photo of the problem. We will replace the item or refund it in full, shipping included, at no cost to you. In most cases you will not need to send anything back.

Non-returnable items
For hygiene and safety reasons, the following cannot be returned for a change of mind: candies and any edible products, opened or not, and socks once tried on. Gift cards cannot be returned. Faulty items remain covered as described above.

Exchanges
The fastest way to get a different item is to return the one you have and, once the return is accepted, place a new order.

Refunds
We will let you know once your return has arrived and been inspected, and whether the refund is approved. Approved refunds are made to your original payment method, usually within five working days. Your bank or card issuer may need a few more days to show it on your account. If you have not received your refund 15 working days after approval, please contact us at contact@totoro-shop.com.

Your statutory rights
This policy does not affect the rights you hold under the consumer law of your own country, including the 14-day right of withdrawal for customers in the European Union and the United Kingdom, which apply in addition to it.
